“They’re really wonderful people and nothing’s too much trouble”
“My Mum and Dad have been married for 61 years and they’ve lived in this house since my before my brother and I were born. We grew up here and the house is full of happy memories for all of us. I couldn’t imagine either of them ever leaving.
Both my brother and I live too far away to visit every day so when Dad fell ill and had to go to hospital, I was really worried about how they’d cope when he came home.
I wanted to be sure he’d be able to get back to good health without it placing too much of a strain on mum. Luckily our family GP knew about TL Care and put us in touch. They’ve been absolutely brilliant. Their regular carers are more like friends of the family now.
One of them comes in about four days a week in the morning and at lunchtime. They help get Dad up and washed and dressed and give him his breakfast and then they prepare a nice lunch for them both.
They sort out lots of other things as well – from getting Dad a new bath chair to arranging injections and making sure he’s taking his medication.
They’re really wonderful people and nothing’s too much trouble. We keep in touch by email and phone so I always know how things are at home.
Best of all it just gives us all total peace of mind. I know, when I have to say goodbye at the end of a visit, that they’re in really safe hands”
